Your blood sugar levels do not co relate with your hba1c. Please monitor your blood sugars regularly. Repeat hba1c by hplc method, also do cbc, kft. Till then, if you do not have any complaints then continue glycomet gp1 as usual with strict diet control and physical activity.

Ideally in a well controlled diabetic patient FBG should be < 100 mg, or closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg and HbA1c% < 6.5%. Looking at HbA1c%, there is a need for upgrading the treatment. However, it is necessary to know following details before any advice can be given : Dietary pattern, extent of daily exercises, lipid profile, BP readings. Another important aspect is your being in grade 2 obesity with a BMI of 35.48 kgs/Sq meter (Normal < 23 kgs/Sq meter). Your ideal body weight should be 36 kgs. There is an excess of almost 20 kgs.
