Sir my mother had been facing immense pain in knees, elbows, arms, fingers, shoulders, feet and wrists since january 2020. I even consulted two rheumatologist nad they prescribed high doses of painkillers with hcqs 200, defcort 6. folitrax 10, etc. But still she is facing it but a bit lower. But whenever she stops the medicine. She feels the same the intense pain. What should I do now?

Mam, understand the disease. She is having rhumatoid arthritis. She has to take medicines with blood tests to be done every 3 months.

Hello lybrate-user I understand that your mother is suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and has been put on drug treatment. However you have not mentioned how long has she been taking treatment because the effect of medicines comes on at an average of 6 weeks of regular treatment. If she has been taking the above mentioned medicines since jan 2020 regularly then she needs an urgent review for the drugs need to be changed or dose adjusted as per the case. And if the treatment has been started recently then I would say give it some more time.
