Zoryl mp2 bd tenegliptin 20 od voglibose 0.3 bd pregabalin+methylcobalamin 1hs but fasting sugar 200 and r.sugar 230 pp 280. Hba1c 11.5 no family history of diabetic. Getting symptoms polyuria and vertigo since last week. Tab is giving since last 4 day. please suggest better treatment. Instead insulin.

You are on maximum dose of oral medications for diabetes. But even after that your sugar is not controlled. I suggest you to avoid any sugar from your diet. Also start daily brisk walking for 30 min. I do understand that you want to avoid insulin in your case, but unfortunately, her sugar are high even after maximum possible dose of oral medications. You can wait for 3 weeks as maximum effect of medications will come after 3 weeks. Review with sugar reports after 3 weeks.

Continue same drugs and you said you have take those drugs for lasting 4 days now I said one line to you those are medicine not magic they take some tym to control your sugar.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. It is clear that with HbA1c% of 11.5%, her diabetes is not at all in control. That means present medication is inadequate and secondly there is a need to give detailed look at diet, exercise, weigh & height. Plus there may be a need to upgrade the medication. In a well controlled patient fasting glucose should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.5% at her age. Thanks.

Looks like that this is the first time diabetes is diagnosed. First thing apart from medication is that she should control her diet and do some physical activity. She has to reduce weight as part of diabetic management. Insulin will give quicker response but oral medicines will take time. Wait for a week ,check the sugar again and consult doctor to adjust the dose.
