Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details. Your fasting and pp are excellent. With only metformin if you have achieved those values, then I don't see the need for adding anything else. Please tell me hba1c% 7.1 % is of which date? What were the fasting and pp values then? Because for hba1c% to go down it takes almost 3 months. Another important aspect is your being in grade 1 obesity with a bmi of 32.5 kgs/sq meter (normal < 23 kgs/sq meter). This means you have an excess of 22 kgs, as your ideal body weight should be 56 kgs. Therefore, even if just plan reduce a 5 to 8 kgs your glucose levels will remain quite well and hba1c% will also come down. Plus there is a possibility you can almost reverse the diabetes. So please give the answers for above questions. Plus join a gym and start doing regular workouts under the guidance of a trained instructor to cut the excess weight. Plus take a properly restricted diet, that gives just about 1000 calories a day. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.

Your fasting and pp blood sugar are low and hba1c test is not edvisable before three months .hence continue same medicine in half dose .repeat the fasting and pp blood sugar after 3 months.

Your fasting blood sugar is good but post meal sugar is low. If that was achieved just by taking metformin, there is no need for additional drug. Actually you have to reduce the dosage to half in the morning. Your weight is of obese type. That is the main culprit for your high sugar too. Try physical exercises and sincere diet, so that you can manage diabetes without drugs.
