Calaptin sr is very mild medicine. Your bp likely to soon become even higher with this change. Meet a md physician Dr. and ask him about adding a mild diuretic like hctz 12.5 on alternate days to your previous medicine. Calf pain may be poor diet or some medicine dide effect like statin etc. Be willing to take traditional health foods like nuts dairy and poultry. For good health one should reduce sugar jaggery, not traditional foods.
