My wife has been tasted tsh and it is 7.68, she has some problems like irregular period, often she feels very irritating and always remains angry. She take no medicine for thyroid, she had been suffering from pcod since 2018 july and taking pills loette for the long period. Her weight 64 kg and height is 5.4" she is 31. Please advice me, if any medicine should start?

Normally, thyroid medication is not started before tsh value is 10. In her case the menstrual irregularity and irritability could be due to her thyroid insufficiency. I suggest that she start with a small dose for 3 months and see the change. For more details, she will have to contact me.
