Hello, month of june got periods on 6th ,then doctor suggested to take m2tone syrup and zincovit tablet for 30 days, usually if I take vitamin tablets periods was normal and in time, but this time I didn't get periods for 35 days and done pregnancy test which was negative then doctor suggested again deviry 10 mg tablet for 7 days and said wait for another 7 days then if didn't get periods said to come on july 30th, if I get periods said to come on 2nd or 3rd day. So I got periods on 25thjuly saturday, may I know the reason y I got late periods and now doctor is out of station ,she said to meet for the next cycle, so what shall I do? Again can I take m2tone syrup and zincovit tablet till next cycle? Whereas one of my cousin took same medicine for a month and next she got pregnant after 7 days of delay periods, why I am not if I got delay periods? Let me know the problem and future what shall I do, please help me out.

Pregnancy can occur only one day of the cycle that is ovulation day so unprotected sex around that day only important. As only one day in month nature should be given 12-24 trials (12 to 24 months) before couple need any active management by gynecologist or infertility specialist those who have regular 28 days cycle get ovulation around 14th day counting from the first day of the period (bleeding) means sexual intercourse around 11 to 16th day helps for pregnancy. Those who get cycles differently calculations have to be made differently as ovulation occurs 14 days prior to the next period. Any couple desirous of pregnancy and not getting same naturally must meet gynecologist or infertility specialist accepting facts that it needs many reports and different trials of treatment. Means couple must have patience and go to one in whom they have trust to stick for a long time.
