Dear Champaklal, If your father-in-law is depressed only due to covid ( he was fine and energetic before march 2020, he need not take tablets. Hi lybrate-user, he should be feeling better with medicine soon. In the meanwhile, recommend to consult a psychologist on a regular basis. This would help him to have an open interaction and feel a bit relaxed. Avoid watching news or sharing much insights on covid19. Treat and talk to him as normal as he is. Engage him with some physical activity or hobbies or any thing of his interest. Probably a comedy movie would help him to laugh a bit and speak good words. You will get to see some results after few or many attempts for sure.
