Am using melalite 15 cream from 8 yrs. For few years was using every night now use 2 times a week. Is it safe to use?

Melalite contains hydroquinone 2 percent which is used to treat hyperpigmentation/ melasma. But it is used for short period of time, max 2 months (+-).and on prolong use hydroquinone polymerase to form ochrone pigment which get diposited in skin and causes rebound hyperpigmentation/ blackening and this blackening is to some extent difficult to treat. So melalite is not at al safe to use for long time. Use some product which is basically used for maintainance therapy of melasma (black spots. Like arbutinin merbery extract vit c etc. Or visit nearest dermatolgist. Thanks.

This is not safe for long term. You can use this max 1 month. This will cause dark spots that will be extremely difficult to treat by usual treatment.
