Hello, thanks for the query. I have read the details given. Please tell me how was the condition" hyperinsulimia" was diagnosed? What symptoms do you have? How are the blood glucose levels? Plus let me know if you have high blood pressure? Metformin is used to reduce insulin resistance and in turn excess insulin. Your bmi is 26.56 kgs (normal< 23 kgs/sq meter) which means you are a bit over weight. That also can contribute to hyper insulinimia. Thanks.

In hyperinsulinism there is increased resistance to insulin and your doctor might have given you metformin to reduce insulin resistance.
