For rheumatoid arthritis hcq alone may not be sufficient you can consult a rheumatologist and take proper dose of medication s so that disease in controlled 1.limit pain reducing agents use to minimum 2.use physical modalities like hot fomentation ,contrast bath etc for pain 3.always daily move all small and big joints in the body through full range so that contractures and deformities do not develop 4.she can use hand splints.
