Is it safe to go for a chemical peel during isotretinoin medication? My dermatologist suggest me to do. Dr, what is your opinion.

It depends on the peel and the doctor. Usually, it is contraindicated but some of the hydrating peels can be used especially the gel based superficial peels. I am using them to good success without side effects. You are doing under the care of a dermatologist so don't worry. Just be sure to apply sunscreen regularly and follow strict photoprotection because you are already on isotretinoin.

Hi. Chemical peeling or any other cosmetic procedures are generally avoided within 6 months of isotretinoin use. But now a days few studies are saying peeling can be done during isotretinoin use. Thanks.
