Hi lybrate-user, cetaphil cream or lotion alone should be fine for dryness. If you combine two products it can become thicker in consistency which can lead to blocked skin pores which in turn could lead to acne. Acne could be more difficult to treat than dryness itself. You can increase the frequency like 2-3 times depending on your skin texture and level of dryness. Also apply a water based sunscreen during the day to protect from sunlight.

Moisturize frequently. Drink plenty of fluids. As dehydration is the main reason of dry skin avoid sudden changes in temperature or humidity. Avoid sweating or overheating. Reduce stress. Avoid scratchy materials, such as wool directly in contact with skin. For more details you can consult me.
