My mother 48 years old had a problem of insomnia so she consulted a gynecologist who prescribed her livial 2.5 mg and lonazep 1 mg. Lonazep stopped working after 1 week so he increased the dose of lonazep to 2 mg and same thing happened. My mother had terrible mood swings, problem of acidity started and felt restless while taking livial and the sleep problem got worse. So we consulted another gynaecologist who prescribed her altonil 5 and zolfresh and premarin 0.625 mg. My mother had a hysterectomy in 2016 so livial didn't suit her. After taking altonil and zolfresh her insomnia is under control but the problem of acidity, indigestion, fatigue, depression, body temperature started increasing on taking premarin everyday. She stopped premarin for 2 days and these symptoms started fading away but when premarin is again started extreme acidity, dryness, depression, high body temperature started appearing. She is taking rabekind 20 every morning and premarin in the evening still she is having acidity and indigestion on the day she is taking premarin. She did not have any symptoms of menopause before taking livial or premarin. Her condition is getting worse on taking premarin, should she stop taking it altogether? Please help. Insomnia is not her problem now, insomnia is cured after taking melatonin, problem is taking hrt. I want to know whether she should stop taking hrt or not.
