teeth cannot be shorten by cutting, you have to go for orthodontic treatment. 
if your teeth is forward placed( proclined) orthodontist may extract your permolar & rearrange all teeth to extracted space so that it will look better.

Hello lybrate-user please do not make a self assessment of how big your teeth are? If the teeth are inturrupting your speech and function then a proper treatment is needed. Only on the point of feeling that your teeth are big cannot a treatment should be carried out. Also if your teeth are partially visible when your mouth is closed. Or if they are coming in between the mouth closure then only an ortho treatment is needed to push them back to normal. At your age teeth may look bigger in size especially the front two teeth. But with age grinding of teeth takes place which is physiological i.e. Normal.
