I am suffering from adenomyosis as I have very heavy bleeding for 2 days plus after periods I also suffer a lot with thigh pain and sometimes frequent urination which has affected my quality of life. Doctor has advised for mirena iud insertion. But there are a lot of horror stories about mirena and its side effects. please suggest is it a wise decision.

apparently there are two treatment for adenoyif your family is complete and you are above 40 yes you can go for hysterectomy,otherwise go for mirena insertion.in the initial few months you may have intermenstrual spotting or increased bleeding.but it will settle down in a few months
