Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Your blood glucose levels are quite well controlled, in fact PP is quite low. It appears that taking Tenelegliptin with Metformin is probably not needed. Only one of the either drug should be enough to maintain proper glucose levels along with dietary control and regular exercise. Another important aspect is you are very close to be in grade 1 obesity with a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 29.36 kgs/Sq meter (normal < 23kgs/Sq meter). Considering your age, your ideal body weight should be just about 58 to 59 kgs. which means there is an excess of almost 20 kgs. This is a major hindrance in maintaining proper blood glucose levels. If you manage to reduce even 5 to 8 kgs, you may not need any medication at all. Since there is no mention of certain important details like BP readings, HbA1c%, lipid profile, serum creatinine and urea, plus nothing about dietary details and extent of daily exercise, no further comment can be made. If you have any questions please do come back. In this communication we are supposed to give only general guide lines, no drugs can be prescribed. So if you are keen on specific advice, please come back with all the above details in a private conversation (paid consultation), then I will be able to give specific advice and also prescribe necessary drugs. Thanks.
