I have emptiness also which I know is a symptom of depression but this one symptom is I am confused about. It feels like the intensity of my inner voice has got low. I don't understand what it is. Can someone please help me to understand this symptom?

Depression is nothing than a mental inability to recognise the fact and reality. It is only a false believe which is form by patient itself. It is not a serious issue it can be easily treatable. I suggest take homoeopathic medicine for only 1 month and along with that counselling part also must be include with this treatment. Within a few weeks you feel a new change in your life. Risdone is for a more serious condition and it is quite likely that you can experience this 'brain is caged' sensation due tot he nature of your illness. I suggest that you please go for counseling therapy to facilitate a better and surer recovery. This should continue for some time and your cooperation is very much desirable to the treatment process. In counseling you will develop skills and techniques to deal with the many issues you will face in life. I suggest that you look particularly into coping and dealing with your feelings. You need to be occupied, and fit into a routine of interesting activities every day. Yoga and meditation is also necessary to train your brain to be disciplined. Exercise always plays a stabilizing role and is the most holistic medicine besides. Since the suggestive mind is regularly perturbed by unreal fears, a reality check through counseling will help you discern fact from fiction. Your socializing and maintaining steady relations is the hallmark of a good recovery program. If I am to assume that there were no relapses during this period, then that is a good sign too. Â

Hi lybrate-user from the limited information provided by you, I could understand that you are suffering from anxiety, depression and ocd. Serta is an appropriate drug to improve all of it and usually it is augmented by an antipsychotic drug (risperidone) after it has been tried up to its full dose (~200 mg per day). It's in your best interest if you consult a psychiatrist in-person and get your treatment optimised. I wish you get better soon! Â
