Hi, I have a query, whether I can take the covid vaccine? I was allergic to baralgan injection which was given intravein 27 years back. After that, no such thing happened. But want to make sure whether the covishield vaccine has any content which can give allergic reaction to me.

You have multiple comorbidities in the past. You should discuss with covid vaccine officer before taking vaccine. Only pt with history of atopy or major allergy reaction are cautious asked for vaccine.

I don't know if any components of baralgan (dicyclomine) are present in covid vaccines. It’s best to convey this history to the vaccinating authorities, who should be the best judge. Other than that, good luck with your vaccination.

Baralgan contain dycyclomine which is antispasmodic drug and anti cholinergic group of drug. Covid vaccine does not contain that drug. So you can take vaccine without any second thought.
