I (56 years old) got tested for covid-19 yesterday, has no pre-existing medical conditions like bp, diabetes etc. Doctor has advised to take ct-scan done for pneumonia test. Is this mandatory and how likely is for pneumonia to occur.

Hello Ms. lybrate-user good morning! a normal x ray would suffice to know about the condition of lungs. If you develop breathing difficulty then a ct or mri would be required. You may take all necessary precautions for covid and keep your hydration and nutrition proper. Take vitc and zinc tablet and remain stress free. You would be just fine.
