Depends whether it was a sustained relelase / extended release preparation or plain one. If it was an extended/sustained release preparation then it will lose its effectiveness as long term preparation by crushing it. So not recommended. (qutan sr) if it is a plain or immediate release preparation, yes you can crush it.
