Hello, patient can have mild cough or weakness even after covid has been resolved. It will take some time for these symptoms to resolve completely. Unless there are severe symptoms aur respiratory distress, hrct is not needed. Take care.

Dear lybrate-user, from what you describe your mother had 3 courses of antibiotics along with steroids and medication to help with her breathing. If her symptoms have significantly reduced, then very little will be achieved by getting an hrct, but if you feel it will put your mind at rest, you may get it done while noting that unnecessary radiation exposure is not good. It may be better to get her reassessed and treat any residual infection as cough can become a habit after some time and may linger on for a long time even if there is no underlying cause best wishes.
