My father in law having insulin human actrapid 8-10-8 units and basalog 20 at night by mistake he took basalog 8 in afternoon so can we give his regular dose at night.

Hello, thanks for the query. Taking basalog instead of rapid acting insulin, means the action will be slow. Secondly if rapid acting is not taken at that time, then please reduce his night dosage by about 4 units (basalog). Thanks.

Basalog is long acting insulin analogue. If you have injected accidentally 8 units of it at the lunch time. Don’t worry the remaining 12 units can be given at bet time.
