Good day, I have been using demelan cream to get rid of pigmentation spots. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and because my pigmentation has been there for a few years already I decided to treat dramatically by applying it twice daily. Now I experience even more dark spots on my skin! I made sure to apply a sunscreen of spf 50 every morning. Is this normal and will the spots eventually disappear? I have changed to once daily now only at night. Please advise me on this?

This is a good cream. Sometime any depigmentating cream can cause more darkness due to irritation & inflammation (itching, burning & pain ), following increase pigment production. Any type of sunscreen can't protect 100% from sunlight. So more sun exposure may be a reason. Avoid sunlight as much as possible, if necessary, cover face with protectives (hat, dupatta, goggles etc.) plus apply good sunscreen. & finally cause of darkness is also important for treatment because many diseases have different treatment. Same creams can not treat any disease. So consult with your dermatologist for proper treatment.
