My mother is aged around 50 years. She is suffering from diabetes. Fasting sugar level above 300 and pp sugar around 500. Following treatment (medicine) - glykind m .plz suggest best medicine for my mother.

Hello, thanks for the query. The glucose levels mentioned are too high. It is clar that only tablet glykind m is not helping her. There is an urgent need to upgrade the treatment. At her age ideally fasting glucose should be < 100 mg or closer to it. Pp should be 150 to 160 mg & hba1c% (not mentioned) should be < 6.5% therefore, please let me know following details: fbg, pp glucose of the day, hba1c%, weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, lipid profile ,bp readings and serum creatinine and urea. Get all the investigations done tomorrow and inform through the private conversation where you can post all the reports. Then I will be able to give specific guidance and prescribe necessary medication. In this communication we are supposed to give only general guide lines. No drugs can be prescribed.
