Gud eve sir, My age 45 years, male, has under gone lab test Glucose (Fasting & PP) on 2nd Feb at New Delhi. Glucose (Fasting) result is 99 and Glucose PP result is 90. It is my general impression that Glucose PP should be more than the Glucose Fasting and both results should be in normal range. However, in my case Glucose PP is below than the Fasting. I gave sample for Glucose PP after about 2 hrs 10 minutes of taking good quantity of food (4 chapatis, dal and mix vegetable & about one spoon of sugar). My height is 172 cm and weight is 65 kg. There is no history of diabetes in the family. My job is desk job (about 9-10 hrs a day). Sir, please advice whether the result are OK or I need any medication or precaution to avoid diabetes. Thanks Regards.

relax. you are right that normally people have higher post prandial blood sugar levels. but, often we have seen the reverse to be true. It depends upon a lot of factors which are complex and is not properly understood. but anyways, in your case both the values are well within normal limits. So, you don't have diabetes. enjoy your life
