Covid per se increases sugar. Your medicines will have to be changed. Follow a strict diet too.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. If a person gets covid infection and if he is put on steroids, then there is a definite hance of blood glucose going up. However, the drugs you have mentioned are in fact un connected to covid. These are two antibiotics (for bacterial infection) and b complex vitamins and zinc plus montelukast. So it is bit difficult to relate your statement. Another aspect is your excessive weight. Since height is not mentioned there is no way to calculate bmi. However, you are quite obese. Obesity affects insulin action due to development of insulin resistance (ir). So it is possible that just taking metformin twice a day will not be sufficient. Plus there is a need to look at your extent of daily exercise, dietary pattern, lipid profile as well as liver enzymes. So please get all the investigations and come back in a private conversation so that I will be able to guide specifically. Or else please consult your local physician. It is absolutely essential to have strict glucose control for a healthier life. Thanks.
