Hello doc my face has been having a condition I don't understand since 2012. It turn whitish (am dark skinned) and has scaly patches. I have used antifungal creams and at one point taken some tablets but the patches just resurface after I stop using the medication. Since the condition began 8 years ago, I have been using clotrin b cream, but after I stop using it the patches come back 1 to 2 weeks later, and then when I apply they disappear and the cycle continues. Am tired of depending g on the cream and I kindly need help on this. Kindly advise.

Self-help measures may help improve the appearance and feel of dry damaged skin. Consider these suggestions: -take long soaking baths to soften the skin. Use mild soap. -rub dampened skin lightly with a rough-textured sponge (loofa) or a pumice stone to help remove the scales. -after showering or bathing, gently pat or blot the skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on the skin. -apply moisturizer or lubricating cream while the skin is still moist from bathing. -apply moisturizer twice daily. -use a portable home humidifier add moisture to the air inside your home. Kindly review in detail as the treatment taken till now may be wrong option.
