Mr. lybrate-user thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Usually if a person has diabetes or if one is pre-diabetic then there is always a chance of developing diabetes. Since you have now developed t2 dm, there is a need for proper treatment to be initiated. Your present treatment with glycomet sr 500 twice daily is not adequate. There is a need to upgrade it. In a well controlled diabetes patient fbg should be < 100 mg, pp should be 150 to 160 mg & hba1c% should be< 6.5%. To give proper suggestions or a prescription, I need to know following details: fasting, pp glucose along with hba1c%, (which is 8.7%). Plus weight, height, extent of daily exercise, dietary pattern and bp readings. So if you are willing to get online help, please come back with these details in a private conversation (paid consultation), then I will be able to do the needful. If you are not interested in online help, please do consult your local physician or diabetes specialist and get the necessary up grade. Your lipids are fine. If you have any further questions please do come back. Thanks. Please do not neglect, because in a uncontrolled diabetes patient long term complication of the condition can affect fairly early. Take care.
