My mother has diabetes for more than 15 years. Zomellis, diapride m1, nevirin and ramitorva are her medicines, she has blood pressure too. In last six months she faced hypoglycemia situation as well <70. Why her bsl is fluctuating? Is this side effects of any these meds? And also, how often does she need bsl test? She is 71 with bp issue since 1987. Please suggest me proper and apt routine for her. Endocrinologist are welcome with their advices.

Good morning, it seems that your mother's blood glucose is dropping down unusually. I need to know her creatinine and renal function as kidney failure due to diabetes could cause her hypoglycemia. Also diapride m1 could also cause her hypoglycemia if she doesn't have enough food. More history needs to be taken. She needs more blood pressure medications in addition to ramitorva. Increased blood pressure can increase her risk of having a heart attack, stroke or worsening of kidney function. Anyway the cause of hypoglycemia as well as increased blood pressure need to be investigated further.
