I have adenomyosis in uterus and endometriosis cysts, blood filled tubes and cysts in ovaries along with lesions and may be the disease has impacted my rectum. I am taking yasmin birth control pills. If yasmin is able to suppress the pain, how would I know if the disease is progressing in my body or not, if it continues to spread to my other organs or not? I am 40 years old so menopause is away for few years. Also, can I take yasmin continuously for 3 months and then get my periods quarterly? Will there be any side effects of not having a monthly period cycle?
