My girlfriend of 21 years has started birth control pills (ovral l). She started it on the 6th day after her first day of period and has taken 4 pills till now. How long should we wait to have sex without a condom so as to be sure the pill has come into effect and be worryfree of potential unwanted pregnancy? Any way to know the pill has started working? Ps-. She feels normal and doesn't seem to have any side effects after consuming the pill.
