Undergone a surgery for cyst removal un july 21. Due to puss, wound was left open and dressing was to be done since then. Dressing is performed with ns and betadine 10%. However, there is stuff on the right edge of the wound and my wound is just about to heal. Question is how the stuff will come out of the wound? I consulted with my surgeon, he rest me assured that nothing to worry. It may come out on its own.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user. We are happy to serve you. Anyway as of you now suffered from abscess not cyst. Anyway it's filled with mucopurulent pus it's dead cellular debris and some live white blood cells it i'll come out by it's own on sometimes don't warry about it and what you said stuff it's a discharge from the wound and you don't mentioned your any long standing bp or diabetes hope your not suffering any I think as of now sitback and do nuthing if that wound not getting cured within week you can consult me or any of your surgeons now don't warry do once your sugar testing if it's normal it i'll be cured as early it's size and days older. Now don't warry it i'll subside automatically if your not suffering from chronic diseases.
