Hello doctor I like to know that my blood glucose level on fasting is 130 mg/dl. But two hours after meal it is 119 mg/,dl am I diabetic. Shall I take medicine like glycomet 500 mg daily .and shall I stop taking sugar. Please advice .thank you.

First do life style modifications. As your weight is 53 kg only then no need to start tab. Glycomet Then recheck after three months. If still raise fasting then recontact me.

Mr Pradeep Kumar, Thanks for the query. I have seen the information given. Your fasting glucose shows 130 mg which is considered as diabetes. But PP value is lower than mg, which is normal. So it is possible that you may be having fasting glucose intolerance . To find out whether you have diabetes please get HbA1c% done. If that value is 6.5% and above then diabetes is confirmed.
