Hello Lybrate user. The fluorosis are intrinsic stains. These will not be removed by normal scaling. Bleaching procedure has to be done. The fluorosis can be caused by increase in fluoride content in drinking water. Consult me for further details. Thank you.

Hello sir there are many options to get rid of these stains but that would depend upon the severity of stains. I would request you to kindly upload some of the pictures if possible: the first and foremost option is you can undergo bleaching which is the most conservative treatment option but sometimes bleaching might not help if the stains are a bit deeper and darker, in that case we would need artificial indirect options like crowns or veneers.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Fluorosis is caused if you ingest large quantities of fluoride. While there are many benefits to fluoride, too much can cause teeth discoloration that appears chalky white, yellow, or brown. This can come from swallowing toothpaste, drinking overly fluoridated water, and taking fluoride supplements. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
