A cap is removed permanently only when you have problem in the same tooth, that is, either pain in rct tooth, either pus, or your crown got chipped of, or your tooth is fractured or your crown got fractured. If after rct you got cap, and cap got removed, you can always go back to the same dentist to get the cap fixed again. Please write again to get a clear detailed answer..
