Regards Lybrate user. With the provided limited information, it is difficult to ascertain a specific cause or describe a plan. Was there any trauma to the upper extremity (specifically the hand) or do you remember doing anything unusual a week prior that you may attribute the pain to. Wrist area is very compact as there are about 15 bones getting interconnected in the small area. There is less room for the muscle-tendon structures that pass through the area and even minimal swelling in the area could cause significant pain & difficulty with movement. It is always recommended to consult a physician, orthopaedician or orthopaedic physiotherapist to ensure it is appropriately diagnosed. But as home remedy (given the limited information), you may try using ice packs over the wrist area (ensure you wrap the ice pack with a thin cloth layer and place on the wrist over the painful area). Avoid placing ice pack directly on skin to avoid frostbite. You may leave the ice pack for about 15-20 minutes & try 3-4 times a day, to check if the pain subsides. If it doesn't subside, a consultation is essential.

. For the right hand pain it might be due to carpal tunnel syndrome, where the pain will be felt in the wrist. You can do hot water fermentation/ wax therapy for shoulder and for the wrist pain (hand pain) you can do ice therapy which will reduce the pain. You can go for wrist brace and if you want we can send you by courier.
