Hello doctor, I am thyroid patients from since 5 years. Yesterday I have done tsh check and value is 5.68. Earlier value was 3.2. Medicine taking thyronorm 50 mcg daily morning time empty stomach. Can go ahead same medicine or have to change, please advice.

Since you have been having hypothyroidism for last 5 years, therefore, must be aware that ideally TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L to remain free from all the symptoms of the condition. Since your TSH is 5.68 mU/L, it is higher than recommended level. It is also necessary to know if there are any symptoms that are being noticed.
