Dear sir / madam. I had some mentally physaictric problem after my divorce after doctors prescription I started taking quetiapine 100 and Larpose 2 in night after dinner. I regularly visited the doctor every week but Dr. kept writing the same tablets after 2 months I stopped going to the hospital as I had to wait 3 hours in que to see doctor. Even after that I kept my tables continue from last 1.5 years. Now I want to quit these tablets. Can I quit suddenly? Will it harm me? Or please suggest me the best way to quit these please. I wait for reply. I am and shall remain sincere thank full to u.

Hi lybrate-user, please don't quit it all of a sudden. The rule is to gradually taper it and then discontinue it. Please consult your doctor, tell him your current state and if you are feeling better tell him to reduce the dose. You have to complete the full course of the medication otherwise you will have elapse. So don't take nay risk. You can consider changing your doctor also.
