I am 51 year old, hyperthyroidism, gluten allergy, total abdominal surgery of big fibroid one year ago, and now my bones are weak, and I am suffering from osteopenia and pain in bones, I consult an orthopedic surgeon and he give me medicine, one medicine cause side effect of urination problem, urine not pass, and he prescribe me risofos tablet for bones but I am worried about side effects.

Hello, thanks for the query. Madam, in women following menopause because of lack of estrogens there is an increase in the bone loss. This leads to osteopenia and later osteoporosis. Therefore treatment for preventing the bone loss is to give estrogens or a combination of estrogen & progestin plus calcium and vitamin d3. The drug prescribed to you also is supposed to help reduce the bone loss. There are some side effects, but if you can tolerate the same then please go ahead. Thanks.
