I am 40 year old, female. I am suffering from depression, stress feeling, anxiety, weeping kind of problem since last 17-18 years. This problem started after birth of my second child. I am taking medicines prescribed from neuro-psychiatrist. In between for 3-4 years I felt well, stopped taking medicines. But now a days (from last 2 years) whenever I hear news like earthquake, cyclone or any natural /any other disasters I again start feeling depressed and not able to concentrate on anything. I feel like stressed / crying all the time. This problem now a days started occurring frequently. Though I am taking medicines, I do not feel well. Feels stress in upper head. Also feel irritation and become angry sometime but I can not express same. Once this problems occurs, it stays fro nearly 10 -15 days. Kindly help.

It appears that probably you had post delivery depression after the birth of your 2nd child, which was not treated. You also might be having lots of sadness and grief which did not get any outlet, and hence, become more intese now. This is the reason you feel like crying all the time. I guess you have ptsd - post traumatic stress disorder. You might have experienced or heard about some traumatic events like, accidents, earthquakes, tsunami etc which were very devastating. As a child it affecred your mind and has left a strong impact on you. Probably you are very scared of losing someone close to you. You might be afraid of death. All this together is causing your anxiety and sadness. Please continue with the medication as the doctor's advice. Also take an appointment with a counsellor. Relieving your painful emotions which are suppressed till not will help you a lot.
