My thyroid stimulating hormone (tsh) (serum, eclia) results 0.08 units ?iu/ml please advise how to increase it. Currently I am taking metformin 500 mg per day for diabetes.

Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the query. The information is incomplete. You have just mentioned tsh level, which below the lower normal limit. But there is no information on t3 & t4 levels. Tsh is directly linked to the levels of these two thyroid hormones particularly t4 (thyroxine) which is secreted that gland. Lower level means there is an excess secretion of t4. Plus usually there are quite a few associated symptoms wit that. Unless all the necessary information is given there is no way to advise. Another aspect usually low tsh (below normal lower limit) is indicator of hyper activity of the gland and needs appropriate treatment. Thanks.
