Statin group of medicines are given after heart attack to lower bad cholesterol, but now doctors are divided to give or not to give because of side effects like memory loss, risk to liver and kidneys, cancer risk etc, some doctors are giving dietary counselling, others are giving twice a week and still others are writing one per day out of reflex!
