Hello! recession of gums can be due to many reasons. But mainly it occurs due to accumulation of plaque and calculus over your teeth and in between the teeth and gums which many times is not visible. There are uncountable numerous bacteria present in those areas which cause compromised gum health and they start receeding. My advice: - get scaling done by nearby dentist and repeat it after every 6 months. - brush your teeth twice daily using ultrasoft or soft bristle brush. - use chlohex antiplaque mouthwash. - rinse your mouth after every meal. - reduce sugar intake. - consume more vit c rich foods. If there are bleeding gums, then first get scaling done and use tan x gumpaint. - massage the gums 3-4 times a day using your clean washed fingers to increase the blood flow over those areas. Scaling and deep cleaning usually removes all the plaque and restores the gum health gradually. Thank you.
