Are diamicron xr 60 and diamicron Mr. 60 same medicines? I have been taking diamicron xr 60 can I take instead diamicron Mr. 60 in case diamicron xr 60 is not available.

They both contain the same medication but Mr. means modified release and xr means extended release. There can be difference in the number of hours for which the tablet will be effective. You can take it for the time being and get back to the earlier drug when you get it. In case there are some symptoms, stop the medicine and consult your doctor.
