I am 22 years old. I was having severe back pain sometimes in the past. And since 2-3 months back it was gone after I had medication from a doctor. But now it seems like it had started again. What should I do? Which doctor or hospital would you refer?

Dear lybrate user, any pain for more than 2 months is itself a disease of chronic pain irrespective of primary reason for which back pain started. My advise would be consult interventional pain specialist or orthopedician trained in spine for comprehensive examination to reach correct diagnosis for back pain as it can be due to disc, facet joints, canal stenosis, nerve impingement, muscles spasm. Once diagnosis is confirmed it can be treated conservatively or by some intervention. Hope it helps.
