I am 18 years old Boy I can't even Concentrate for A Second Even in Lecture or even if Someone is telling something Every time I lost in thoughts, I tried Meditation but when I tried it I couldn't meditate even for a second I can't sit somewhere for more than 10 mins if I do either I get bored or It irritates me or I got lost in Control Every time In Class I see watch And Pray for Time to Go fast and Lecture ends soon and when time really bores me I count numbers in Lectures or I play the Games but I can't focus on what teacher is saying but I don't know why While watching Movies or Playing games I can stop thoughts but while Studying or In Lecture I am Lost, I tried To meditate, listen good musics, beta music, good songs, mantras, or While Studying I tried everything From Aayurvedic Natural Boosters, juices, Alopathic Concentration booster pills or Afresh Drink or Energy Drinks like Redbull but I can't Concentrate it is impossible to Concentrate for me While Studying, In Lectures or any time it doesn't matter what I do I can't Concentrate I can't even Read a Book I want to read good Books but it is impossible for me to do I can't read Large Books I get bored after 1-2 pages When I try to meditate It starts Irritating my Hands, Legs After 10 second when I mediate for 10 mins I watch at clock 100 times I can't sit at How I suppose to Improve my Concentration?

Dear lybrate user, welcome to lybrate. You must be able to understand concentration, attention span, recollection and distraction. If you are able to watch a movie for two hours continuously, if you are able to play a game for an hour, then you do not have any concentration problems. You can't be attentive towards your studies because you are not interested in it. You are able to watch movie and play game because you are interested in it. Human cannot be attentive towards anything for more than 10 minutes. If the task is boring, it is natural that that person will sleep or feel sleepy. Then you should study in such a way that your attention is continued and make the subjects are interesting to you. Effective learning techniques should help you. Recollection depends on anxiety, stress and other physical and circumstantial factors. Distractions while studying are plentiful. You should be able to overcome distractions or avoid distractions. Please understand the above. Change your study style and attitude accordingly. Please search internet for" effective learning" techniques. Take care.
