Hello, the stains accumulated on the tooth surface cannot be removed by normal brushing. Dentists with the help of an instrument (ultrasonic scaler) will remove the stains from your teeth surface. But if the stains are intrinsic (within the tooth) ,a procedure called bleaching can be done to whiten your teeth.
