I am 22 y/o. I had tooth pain in wisdom teeth so I consulted 2 different dentists. Both said it is impacted and has to be extracted. There are two impacted teeth and one has been painful for 10 days, it gets a bit swollen every morning and then pain subsides during the day. I have exam on 26th may and want to wait till that to get the extraction surgery. I want to ask can I wait that long? If so, which painkiller can I use for one month and should I keep applying dologel everyday.

Hello if done properly by a trained surgeon, a disimpaction surgery should not pain much and should not cause you discomfort beyond a couple of days instead if you wait, there is always a possibility that it will worsen. Plan a disimpaction surgery (if that has been suggested) at the earliest.

Pain killer should not be taken continuously for a month. It may cause serious effects to body. Have it only when there is severe pain. For temporarily relief, hold warm saline water in your mouth 3 times a day. As soo as you finish your exams, remove those teeth.
