I am a 29 year old male, my height is 172 cm and my weight is around 63-65 kg. I had a routine blood checkup last day and figured out that my bilirubin level is 2.9 mg/dl and bilirubin direct is 1.1 mg/ dl rest of all the lft & rft tests are in the normal range. The variation is seen only in the bilirubin level. Nb- I workout daily and and my water is comparatively as I get dehydrated often. Request to please help me to understand this situation and please let me know if I consume more water and reduce strenuous exercise will this be cure.

Hi, High bilirubin could be due to high intake of oil and processed foods in your diet. Reduce oil to 1 Tbsp per day and ghee to 1/2 tsp per day. Also increase fibre intake like Fruits, Vegetables, Whole grain cereals ,Pulses in your diet. Avoid Butter, Cheese Bakery items, Ice-creams etc.
